I saw Lollapalozza in 1991 at Great Woods in Massachusetts. In 1992 at Saratoga Performance Center and in 1993 at Milan Dragway. Great fun every show! Milan was memorable for the heat--God awful. They had a firetruck come through and hose down the crowd.
In 1991 N.I.N. was great but the real show stopper was Ice-T. In 1992 the Chili Peppers played forever!! But the all time best was in 1993 was on the second stage-- TOOL!
I kept the tickets stubs until 2006 and then tossed them thinking I would never need them but now I regret it because of this groovy site. Nicely done, Ben!

I think at the time I thought I was too cool to go to Lollapalooza! I know now that sounds sad. It was probably that I had no money at the time because I remember many friends going to see it. I am jealous because I would love to see some of those bands ~ on the other hand ~ that many bands in one show is a bit much for me.
I like the one opening band, one headliner ~ I am traditional like that. :)

Still would have loved to see NIN, Ice-T (agree with the hip hop comment), Rollins and Violent Femmes (who I DID see at Bumbershoot 1993 or 1994 in Seattle). Fishbone? What did you think?
